I finally beat the third stage of Special Agent on Perfect Dark. Man, this was a tough (and therefore very good) stage (I've been trying since at least 7 o'clock, after dinner, and that doesn't count my earlier attempts). There were a lot of tough parts of this stage, but what was mostly giving me trouble was a final shoot out at the end.

So, I would be playing through this stage, taking about 8 minutes an attempt, just to be wiped out at the end. The good thing about this is that it definitely forces you to be really good at the rest of the stage, so 1) you can easily get to the hardest part 2) so you'll have plenty of life left for the hardest part. And because the stage is pretty tough, I have learned some interesting things about it.

Above, I said that there didn't seem to be much thought put into enemy placement. I also said above that the night vision didn't add anything to the game. Well, I was wrong on both counts (though it's not apparent on Agent difficulty). The first part of this stage is blacked out. The cool thing about this is, the guards have limited vision in the darkness, which means that this is a perfect opportunity to try to sneak up on them and get head shots. And the guards are positioned just right for this to work (play the game to see what I mean). Plus, the lights are out for only a limited time, so you still have some incentive to rush.

Anyway, to repeat myself, I really enjoyed this stage. I'm very curious to see what some other stages (particularly ones I may not have liked very much) are like on Special Agent mode.
