For a more detailed post, I played some more of Devil May Cry tonight. I found out that even though you can save any time you want, you have to start from the beginning of a mission. So I began the first mission again, with the boring collecting of 45 red orbs. Once the enemies appeared though, it was a lot more entertaining.

It was really interesting how many creatures attack you at once. It got a little overwhelming and I lost twice, using two yellow orbs to continue. Once I beat all the enemies and cleared the mission, I was told that I could switch to an easier mode, but that once you switch, you can't go back to normal.

I'm not sure how much it'll hurt the experience, but I decided to go to easy mode for my first time playing. The difference is very noticeable with auto aiming and attacks being much easier to perform.

The second mission also had lots of enemies, and thankfully, very little in the way of idiotic puzzle solving. At first, I thought it was going to be a little too much like Resident Evil. I got a new sword in the level and fought what I guess could be considered a boss. I didn't really use any strategy, just attacked repeatedly until I won. Not sure if more strategy is needed in the other modes, though.

I'm getting used to the camera angles now, and I can say that the graphics are really nice. Reminds me of Eternal Darkness in style sometimes.
