I started a game of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life.

I must say, compared to the other games in the series, this one has remarkably little structure. You don't eat any meals automatically, and you have to do all of your cooking yourself. You also get exactly 6 hours of sleep when you go to bed, meaning if you go to bed at 6:00 (what was originally "bed time" in the other games"), you wake up at midnight!

That's not the only time issue, either. The clock equates 1 minute to 1 second, and it doesn't stop when I'm indoors. The calendar has been shortened to 10 days, too.

You also start out with a free cow. I named her January, setting up for a monthly theme. I think I scared her with my hoe, but no harm done. She also eats 2 bales per day instead of one. The upshot is that I no longer have to grow my own grass - There's a pre-made pasture.

I don't think I've progressed in ANY social respects. However, I did find this homeless guy walking around. He seemed to like my milk, but I couldn't give any to him. I'm sure there's much more to this game than meets the eye. People actually walk around town, much like Majora's Mask.
