Ys Book 1 and 2.

What happened was that I just wanted to hear Dark Fact's music, fight him, and see the ending to Ys Book 1 again. But after that I kept playing, effectively meaning I started a new game of Ys Book 2.

I played until I was able to reach the mountains with the ice slopes.

Anyway, the interesting thing is that the first time I fought the first boss of Ys 2, I thought it was very difficult. It seemed like the boss could kill me in one hit. And its attack has only small gaps for you to fit through.

Well, tonight, for whatever reason, that boss was pretty easy for me. It couldn't come close to killing me in one hit. (It seemed like it only took a slice of life each time it damaged me). I'm really not sure this why that is. I started Ys 2 from my old file from Ys 1. And I only gained one experience level from that point... meaning I couldn't have been much leveled up beyond what I was before. It's all very strange (though I've had experiences like this before. The first time I played through Final Fantasy IV, the bosses were much harder than they were again, and I'm not really sure why that was the case, either). I only had the weakest armor tonight, too, so the only way I could have had weaker armor before was if I was missing a piece altogether.
