I beat Elemental Master last night. For a shmup, it's actually rather short and easy (I'd really hate to see what Easy is like. I should shoot for Hard and Expert now). But short and easy seems to be what my mind wants right now.

The back of the box says it has eight stages, but it only has seven. Of course, the manual is total crap (They have the Ultimate Elements switched around. Fire's Ultimate is labeled as Earth's Ultimate and vice versa, same goes for Wind and Water. And it says Light can't be charged. At the beginning of the game, yes. But later on it can)

In the last stage, you have to fight all of the bosses you fought in the last six stages, plus Gyra/Roki at the end. I think you're supposed to use that giant beam you get from charging Light, but the only ones it's practical to use against are that magma man, that bull hedgehog thing, Salome (the giant spider woman), and of course Gyra/Roki. The others are much easier delt with using Fire and Earth (you can easily go the entire game without ever using the Wind and Water elements). Plain Fire takes care of that dragon-thing that shoots lightning out of its hands (or else it's a two-headed dragon that shoots lightning from its mouths. I can't tell, but I think it's the former) as well as the serpent dragon (charged Earth can also be used to do some additionaly damage when it's coming out of the water), and charged Earth is the best thing to use against Clauss.

Fun Cat Fact of the Moment:

A burglar was once tracked down because he decided to make off with the family's Abyssinian cat. Had he left the incredibly rare cat, he probably would have gotten away scott free.
