I'm not fond of Castlevania 4's play control.

Anyway, I felt desperate to play Castlevania 3 tonight; however, my cartridge was just giving me the red screen. I'll have to buy some rubbing alcohol to clean it when I have a chance. I tried it on NESter 7.0. Unfortunately, the emulation was bad (I thought it was okay on NESter 6.0, but I may be misremembering; also, I don't know where my 6.0 disc is). Stepping through a doorway would cause major graphical freakouts, as did the simple act of pausing the game. At first, I thought I could live with this, but when I got to 3-2 (the area that has the line scrolled fog), it became unbearable. The graphics were rapidly glitching, during gameplay, so badly I couldn't even tell where the platforms were.

I briefly tried Puzznic again on NESter. It seems to have the same rules as the Playstation version, but so far, as far as I can tell, the puzzles are different.

I rounded out the evening with a little bit of Super Mario Bros. 3.

World 8's airship without a power up = as difficult as Ninja Gaiden's 6-2?
I LOOOOOOVE Flying Omelette!!
