I've played Gran Turismo 2, but never enough to actually be any good. At the time, I didn't like the realistic driving and didn't bother to try and improve.

But when Gran Turismo 3 was released, I decided to give it a try. And that time, I practiced and really made a serious attempt to do well. And I was able to progress pretty far. Never finished every race, as that got somewhat boring, but I did enjoy the game quite a bit.

Anyway, Mega Man 7... I finished Slash Man's stage. It had a prehistoric theme and some decent music. There was one section of the level where you ride on a robot dinosaur (a few of them) over a long stretch of spikes. Not too challenging because of the lack of enemies but a nice change of pace. Slash Man was pretty easy, as I used the Ice weapon on him. But he had this attack where he would cause you to stick to the floor which was pretty hard to avoid. And he could do lots of damage.

Turbo Man's stage is a serious challenge so far. First, there are several spike pits to cross, but tires moving right to left above Mega Man make timing the jumps very tough. The next section of the stage has fire coming from beneath the floor. After getting through that, I assumed the boss was coming up next. But no, there's an unexpected stretch of level with fast moving instant death flames coming from all sides. I don't believe anyone could avoid losing here at least once without knowing about it ahead of time. I wonder why this level has challenge when none of the other seven did to any real extent.

I'm also thinking about starting another RPG, and playing MM7 when I have the extra time. I am getting pretty tired of Mega Man stuff by now after playing through 5, 6, and much of 7. Not sure what yet, but maybe something will sound interesting later.
