Finished Mega Man 6!
Onward to Mega Man 7!

Boy, the final stages weren't impressive at all. They relied a whole lot on the Rush Jet adaptor (which in this game never completely runs out of power, as it's part of Mega Man himself). And I don't just mean the Rush Jet made it easier. There were MANY parts that were otherwise not possible to get through. And nothing creative was done with the idea.

Also, the bosses leading up to Wily were some of the worst I've yet encountered in the series. The ones in MM5 didn't look great, but they jumped around, had interesting patterns to memorize, etc. These were mostly just giant creatures that you had to hit a lot of times.

And Wily was extremely easy. So easy in fact that I actually thought that there was another boss coming up that'd be the real final battle. And the ending in this game was even more basic than in MM5... At least, the world is at peace. Wily now rules over a jail cell.

Great stuff.

Wily's dialogue was funny when you find out his real identity, though. Has a spelling error so it reads: "My plan for world domination has faild." Mega Man didn't even seem all that surprised by the information.

Heh. But I don't see why he disguises his identity so much in the first place. Does he think Mega Man won't attack if the person taking over the world doesn't look like Wily?

If MM5 gets a score of 7 to 7.5, this game gets around 5 or 5.5. Worth a play for a Mega Man fan, but still the worst of the NES MM games I've finished (Haven't played the first one yet).
