I set Wild 9 to Hard and played Wex vs. Karn (If you load up a game, then set the difficult to Hard, you can play any of the stages you cleared on Easy on Hard. You don't have to go through all the stages again. Good thinking, Shiny :shrug ). Though Karn's harder (I think he only took me two lives including the one I beat him on to beat him on Easy, and Hard took me about four or five), the ending isn't a notch different. Okay, I guess Shiny's kind of known for crap endings (Earthworm Jim 2). But that was worse than usual (I guess it wouldn't have been so bad if Shiny had gone for a shallower plot, not that Wild 9's plot is deep a, say, Final Fantasy 3/6).

While I was at the local Hastings, I saw they got in another copy of Wild 9 (I bought mine from the same location. Their PSX goods are constantly changing). I was thinking about buying it to give to somebody. While it's not something I'd highly reccomend (some stages are a lot of fun, like the Beast Engine, Beast Ride, the Freefalling sages, and Karn was amusing to beat up. Some aren't too fun, but interestingly designed like Palace Karn or the Crystal Mines. The only stage that really sucked that I can think of was that Swamp stage), it's something I would suggest (especially to an Earthworm Jim fan).

Fun Cat Fact of the Moment:

A burglar was once tracked down because he decided to make off with the family's Abyssinian cat. Had he left the incredibly rare cat, he probably would have gotten away scott free.
