Played some more of Mega Man 5 today, but didn't clear any stages. The two I attempted were Wave Man's and Gyro Man's.

I had more trouble with the Gyro stage because of a bit of platforming with a collapsing floor/bridge. While the thing is falling apart, enemies are dropping down from the sky almost right onto where you're standing. You can do some creative jumping to get around them, but I lost two lives at that spot. I think there's one boss power that might come in useful there and I'll have to give it a try next time. Radiates outward from where Mega Man is, so it should hit those enemies before they can get too close.

I lost the last remaining life during a forced elevator type ride upwards where you have to quickly avoid the spiky ledges sticking out of the wall.

Wave Man's stage was far easier, but I can't seem to clearly remember most if it right now. I got to Wave Man without losing once on the way. But I just barely missed beating him. I didn't have anything he was weak against, but MM's standard weapon worked quite well. But he uses water as a shield, fires projectiles, and jumps around a lot. I was getting better, but didn't totally grasp his pattern by the time I ran out of chances. I did once reach the point where one more hit would've done the job, though.

I guess I'll stick with this game for a while longer, but it hasn't been too interesting. I've really been going from game to game (mostly NES) trying to find something totally new to play.
