Played another stage of Mega Man 5... Gravity Man. An interesting stage where you sometimes have to walk on the ceiling... makes jumps a little strange, but there really aren't that many obstacles to get through. Gravity Man himself was pretty basic. He jumps from floor to ceiling as Mega Man himself alternates from floor to ceiling. He seems to be fond of trying to crash into you while you're both making the transition. He fires a weapon similar to Mega Man's, but slowly, so it's easy to dodge. So simple keeping out of his way and timing the charges shots properly was enough to take him down. Took me a few tries compared to the other two bosses, though.

I actually tried a little bit of Castlevania today, again. Didn't play very far, as I didn't have too much time. Stage 5, I think it was. I didn't do very well as I wasn't used to the controls. It did get annoying how far you move when you touch an enemy. Makes some of the falls seem a little too hard to avoid, at least in the early levels. But I remember doing pretty well last time once I played for a while. It's a bit of an adjustment after Kirby's Adventure.

But I'm wondering though about the use of continues. First of all, I can't remember if they're infinite (I know they set you back a couple stages sometimes, but otherwise...) but if they are, I wonder if veteran Castlevania players use them at all, or if they simply try and get through the game without losing that many lives.
