Since I've been away from home a bit the past couple of days, I thought now might be a good time to put my GBA to good use. So far, I'm about an hour and a half into Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. That might not be far enough to judge, but so far the game doesn't seem very special.

I also returned to my magician game of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (which I already know I like, as the main game was good enough to earn that sentiment). It seems the only way I have left to explore at this time is through an area filled with Ice Armors (as well as a lot of walkways that become staircases when a switch is hit). I've already died a few times here. If an Ice Armor hits you, you become frozen and temporarily vulnerable. If you're hit then, you'll sustain massive damage. In fact, right now, that combo of hits alone is enough to kill me, if I was at full health before the first hit. Other enemies in this area are almost as deadly.

I've given some consideration to going back to my old file to try to reacquaint myself with that area.

I don't like games that are fun.
