I beat Dante Must Die! mode of DMC last night. Good christ the last boss was hard. With normal attacks, you can't even see the final boss's lifebar go down. (When I say final boss, I mean his 2nd form, not the very last fight of the game in which you whoop up on him.)

I'm on level 9A of MDK 2 for PS2. I'm playing on Hard and it's still easier than the DC version. There is one higher diffuculty level available ("Jinkies"), so maybe I should try that.

As for differences, there's a few spots where there are less enemies. On Doc's second level (bomb defusing), the PS 2 version sends little "pulses" along the cord that is active, which effectively removes ALL the challenge for that part. The whole point of that part is to follow the cord from the bomb, but in the PS2 version, you can just stand by the buttons and watch the cords to see which button to press.

There are also the little "look here" targets on the PS2 version that aren't there in the DC game:
-On the snipable targets during Kurt's boss fights on stages 1 and 4.
-On the top box during the stage 6 boss fight.
Might be a few others, too.

The DC version also looks better and "feels" better. I can't really explain, but there are certain parts that just feel "smoother" on the DC version.

At least there's a controller configuration available like that of the DC. I remember that EBgames.com had the PS2 version for 4.99 at one point. At that price, even the PS2 version is worth it.

I wonder if the fight with Zizzy will be any diffrent.
