I was giving some PSX games I pulled out of the used bin at Gamestop a test run.

First up was Bust-A-Move 4. FreeArcade.com has so many games that are ripped off real games, but everybody's too stupid to notice. That WizzyWoo or something game has its sprites ripped off Mega Man. Flea Farm is a crappy Lemmings ripoff. In fact, I tried to tell the kid next to me that, and he told me I was full of it.

Pop&Drop is a Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble ripoff, or else a ripoff of whatever Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble is ripped off. But this is a lot better, although a little more frustrating. I kept getting confused as to which bubble I was shooting. I looked down, saw a red bubble, pointed towards a red bubble, and show a purple bubble. I kept looking at the "Next" bubble. Bah.

Next up was Star Ocean: The Second Story. Seemed kind of interesting. The main character (forget his name) looks a teensy bit like Chaz. I sat through all that dialogue, reading every bit of it, the entire time NEVER getting on opportunity to save my game. I finally got to the point where I could leave the villiage and go to that mining town. I got to the mining town with one fight, where I accidently used my gun instead of the sword, killing the two lizards in one hit. When I reached the mining town, I turned around to go level up. I got into a fight, swung my sword, missing, and the two lizards surrounded me, kept juggling me back and forth, and I was dead.

The Alex in the bathtub thing didn't send my controller into the air (almost did, though), but this did (in a "What the crap..." manner, not an "AAAIIIEEEE!" manner). Now I have to do that aaaaallllll over again...

Last one for the night was Threads of Fate. Y'know, I find this game odd. It's Squaresoft, but I had never heard of it until I saw it in the used bin. I'm not making any permanent opinions of it yet, but so far it's good. Mint is obnoxious. I mean, if my name were "Mint", I don't think World Domination would be a good idea. "All hail me! I am the almighty Mint! I'll slaughter you into babyback ribs and leave you smelling minty fresh!"

Fun Cat Fact of the Moment:

The largest recorded number of kittens born to a single female cat in a lifetime of fertility is 420. Ouchies.
