In FFX-2, I finished another sidequest. This one was rather pointless, but at least there was a regular boss battle at the end. It involved chasing down a Chocobo, but there was no real skill involved. And none of the dialogue was all that funny. I got my completion rate up to 30%, though. I found out that to get the better ending, you don't need a full 100%. You just have to do certain things during the course of the game. Total completion gets you an extra scene at the ending, but it reveals nothing new. So I'll probably wait until I feel like replaying to get total completion... especially since the percentage carries over to the next game, but not levels. You just have to do things you missed the first time.
