I had played a bit more Perfect Dark. I just finished all the stages in the Area 51 mission.

My favorite stage so far is the first of the Area 51 stages. It had a bit more of a Goldeneye feel to it than the other stages. It frequently mixes up ranges that you'll fight enemies at, and other factors in combat. For instance, you begin fighting a few enemies in close range. Then, you move down some narrow canyons, but there are sentry guns there. You have to be able to take cover and hit the guns while they can't hit you. Then you reach a large open area and you have to hit some enemies from a distance with a scoped weapon. Then there's more in-close combat, and some exploration... and that's only the first part of the stage.

While the other stages have various goals, the combat itself feels often more like just Doom (just point towards enemies and shoot).

To name a non-combat type of activity... in one stage, you have to infiltrate a building and secretly video a meeting. This involves remote controlling a little camera-bot along some girders in the ceiling, until it reaches a vent where it can enter the meeting room.

I LOOOOOOVE Flying Omelette!!
