One more post tonight, mostly out of boredom. I finished the introduction mission in FFX-2. It was exploring a mountain area to find a sphere before another group of bumbling villians can get to it. The area itself wasn't reused from the first game, but was pretty unexciting. Tons of random battles, but very short and easy ones. I think I'm getting the hang of the job system as its implemented here. Battles are almost too fast though. Hard to tell what's going on sometimes.

After finding the sphere, the party views it, and it appears to be a scene from Zanarkand as Tidus knew it. I think the Tidus stuff is going to be the only part of the plot that'll actually be interesting. For those who aren't aware, the ending of FFX was at least partially unresolved. Depending on how you look at it.

Once that first mission was finished, I could choose to go to many different areas. Two are "hotspots" which will advance the story and cause you to lose access to sidequests. And the rest are locations from the first game that you can explore and maybe get missions in.

In DBZ Budokai, I played the new story part where it shows Vegeta as a super saiyan for the first time. I got something for it, but I don't recall what. I also played with the tournament mode some. You can use standard or customized characters on three different levels of challenge. When you win or take second place, you win money, more of it on the harder settings. You can spend it on new skills and things to further customize different characters.
