I beat the Donkey Kong arcade game in DK64. You have to play through the four levels of it twice (not on the same run); first, to earn a gold banana, and the second time to earn the N64 medal. It's sort of amusing: The second time, Pauline is replaced with the medal in the game, so Donkey Kong hauls that up the tower, etc. This is yet another thing I don't think I accomplished the first time I played this game.

I also beat the factory boss again, which is one of the other better parts of the game. The first time I beat it, I kept jamming on the R button until it finally stayed locked behind my back. This time, I coudn't get the camera to behave, so I tried something else. First, I zoomed the camera out, so it looked like an overhead view (as opposed to 3D) game. There still are camera problems: If you move too far, the camera will swivel around. And if this happens during a jump (which it will), there'll be a portion of your jump where you're pressing in the wrong direction, so you might not clear the gap. So, I just stayed in one corner of the arena, hopping between only two blocks, while avoiding the boss. This is actually much simplier and easier than my earlier strategy.

I almost completely cleared out the first area of the game. I found both banana fairies, everyone's normal bananas, all the blueprints, the battle arena, and every golden banana except one (one of Chunky's).

I have yet to explore the fourth stage (some galleon stage) much. It only required about 30 Golden bananas to get in, and I had about 68 by then.
I LOOOOOOVE Flying Omelette!!
