I finally finished that stupid mine level in Jedi Outcast. Turns out that I didn't really have much more to do. The next level, which I've probably played less than half of so far, has been a lot more fun. It's had (so far) a linear structure, meaning you can concentrate on fighting the enemies, not trying to figure out the completely illogical and unworkable layout of the building.

On a side note, the weapons available in the game are terrible. You have the stormtrooper style blaster, which is very innacurate, but the most useful of everything. There's a wookie bowcaster thing which either fires 5 seperate shots in all directions, that usually hit nothing, or fires one shot straight ahead that's too slow. And there's a charging blaster weapon that's only good if you can sneak up on enemies, which is pretty rare. Maybe they're trying to make lightsaber combat seem that much more amazing once you finally get one.
