"Anyway, because the idea of playing a 20 minute stage, only to miss the last objective in the last 30 seconds, rubs me the wrong way..."

It's because of that very problem that I never completed Rogue Leader. I have a low tolerance for frustrating things in games, and I could not put up with how much the game would make you do over if you messed up. And messing up did not seem particularly hard to do.

In FF6, I'm really ready to beat the game, but I'm still just powering up characters. I have all the characters back (...oops, just remembered, I still need to fetch Gogo), and I've done almost all the sidequests. There's still the one with Hidon, and two more dragons to beat (the ones in Kefka's tower). I also want to turn the cursed shield into the Paladin shield to learn Ultima. Not that I'd need it. Sabin is at level 93 (I used him to help everyone else level), and the rest are between 50 and 63. I got the Illumina sword, and I've used the Gengi Glove + Offering combo lately. I'd like to get some rages for Gau and have Strago learn some lores, just for a greater sense of completion. I probably missed some enemies and I wouldn't have the patience to get every rage anyway.

And maybe I'd like to have every character learn every spell. But the game is essentially finished at this point.
