In Final Fantasy VI, I went through the tomb and got the Falcon. I have to say that, for me, the new airship rising up giving the party another chance to save the world from Kefka is one of the more emotional scenes in the game.

I wasn't really sure how I was going to handle the nonlinear portion of the game this time, and I still don't know exactly what things I'll do and in what order. I did get Gau from the Veldt, since that's really easy. I had Duncan teach Bum Rush to Sabin. Then I fought Phunbaba and had Terra join.

At that point, I took Sabin and Terra to the dinosaur forest, Vanish on both of them, and had Terra gain about 10 levels equipped with the experience egg. I think I'll retreive Cyan next. I know I could simply level up the characters I have and the rest will join at higher levels.

But that takes some of the fun out of the game. And there's also the negative side effect of not getting as many level-up bonuses from Espers, but I usually don't pay much attention to those anyway.
