Since I vowed not to put my Saturn away until I completed any one Saturn game, I decided to get back on Shining the Holy Ark. I'm at the South Shrine, and it is LONG. I got fairly deep into it, but because I don't really believe in healing items, I had to haul out of there with Arthur's Return spell after just barely beating a Turtle Dragon enemy. I then sold off some junk (you can sell "Rare" items in this game, even though they normally bring in little money) bought a crapload of Potions, then saved and turned it off.

Oh yeah, and I did try out Legend of Oasis a couple nights ago. Every screenshot I've ever seen of this game showed it as really grainy and pixellated. Words can't express how amazed I was when I turned it on to see a perfectly crisp and clear game. Leon is also fluidly animated. The only time the game gets pixellated is when Leon grabs a Giant Ginger or I run into some "enlarged" enemy. I worked up to the Efreet spirit. I was stuck on the door to him for about twenty minutes, trying to extinguish those giant flames outside the door to the Ogre Tank with Dytto, only to find it doing nothing. I eventually wandered around, finding a ledge I hadn't jumped to, and got a key. I died once to the Ogre Tank, but the second time I didn't even use the Health Potion I had.

Fun Cat Fact of the Moment:

Despite writing a gruesome tale of cat mutilation called The Black Cat, Edgar Allen Poe adored cats.
