One thing about Cannon Spike...the order in which you do the first few stages is totally random and changes with every game. The difficulty of the bosses changes depending on what order you do the stages in. The Japanese stage has a boss battle that consists of three armed robots. If I don't get this stage as the first or second stage, then I'm almost certain not to be able to complete the game in one credit, as these three guys will totally kick my ass. If this stage comes first, then they can each be taken out with one super hit. But if it comes later, I get my ass kicked the whole time I'm fighting them and I haven't figured out a good strategy for them outside of just using super-bombs over and over.

I got that stage first when I played as Mega Man, so maybe that's why I was able to beat it in one credit with him, but not with any of the other characters so far.

Charlie kinda sucks in this game. But he looks so much like Egon, and because he's on rollerblades, I keep thinking of that episode of the Real Ghostbusters where they were chasing an animal demon on rocket-powered rollerblades.
