I should probably play recommended Genesis games.

Phantasy Star IV is the best Genesis game I've played so far, and also one of my favorite games period. It's actually kind of easy, but it's got a well-written plot, good music (although it's a little scratchy at times) and a fun battle system where the characters can combine attacks to make them lethal, although it's executed differently than Chrono Trigger (and the attacks actually do quite a bit more damage than if you just used the attacks seperately, granted they're used on the right enemies. Blizzard + Sand Worm = JOY!)

Phantasy Star II was also enjoyable, but not quite as much as it's little brother IV. The dungeons will either drive you nuts, or make you get a walkthrough. It came with a player's guide for a reason.

Stay the hell away from III, though.

Some other Genesis games I like:

- Elemental Master.
- Gaiares
- Lightening Force

Fun Cat Fact of the Moment:

Despite writing a gruesome tale of cat mutilation called The Black Cat, Edgar Allen Poe adored cats.
