I beat Insector-X on both Easy and Normal. This game definitely has its hard parts. On Easy, it probably took me close to 50 tries to get past the last part of the final stage. Maybe even more than that, but I lost count. The final boss is really easy, though. Actually, all the bosses of this game are easy. For the second boss, all you have to do is sit right in front of him and shoot, and he can't do anything to you.

Anyway, the funny thing is, on Normal mode, I didn't have as much trouble with the last part of the final stage, but I did have a harder time with the area just before the last part.

I'm not sure what to think of this game. It does have some really tough and exciting parts, but the boss fights are too easy and the parts that aren't exciting are really dull. And the graphics kind of suck. Taito should have at least used parallax scrolling to add some life to it. And at only 5 stages, the game is a little short.

BTW, I'm positive that face in the final level is a "cameo" of some kind, because although the rest of the floor pattern of dead bugs repeats until the end of the level, there is only one of those faces. I just wish I knew for certain if it is Arale.
