I beat X-Men Legends.

It's about 20 hours long. I was expecting more, mostly because I'm missing an X-Man, and some of the plot felt unexplained. In the end, Havok says he'll join you, but you never get to use him. The game also never really wraps up Illyana; one minute she's sitting on a medical bed with Colossus by her, the next she's ceased to exist. Speaking of her, the game just leaves you to assume who told Shadow King to kidnap Illyana and who paid Juggernaut to raid Muir Island.

And if the earth is surrounded by meteors that are blocking out the sun, why is there sunlight coming in the mansion's front windows?

The final boss wasn't hard at all; he was just effing LOOOONG. Okay, he beat me the first time, but my characters were so weak that the instant the battle started he just swiped with his hands and knocked them all down. And all the challenge comes from the fact a mess of sentinels you have to kill just before him will more than likely drain all of your Health Packs. But I had more than enough money to pay for a few revival fees, plus some Tissue Generators. I actually primarily used Storm so I could keep a distance between us, but my comrades were Colossus, Magma, and Nightcrawler. This game's AI sucks; most of the time it just had Colossus and Nightcrawler standing there. Magma sucks anyway, so I can't totally blame the computer.

In all honesty, the only characters I found to be of any worth were Wolverine, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Gambit, and Colossus. And I'm not sure if Gambit was really a good fighter or if he was just surviving off brownie points (he's the first X-Man I ever knew, so I'm seriously biased towards him) The computer can't use worth Wolverine, Cyclops, and Colossus worth shit. Iceman was necessary for making bridges, but he was a terrible fighter (his Freeze attack doesn't do any damage. It just slows/freezes enemies). Everybody else sucks. The only time I had Psylocke on the team was to upgrade her stats, then throw her back into storage. Everybody else got a chance to prove how useless they were.

I unlocked something for sitting through the credits. I thought it was a New Game+, but when I started a new game nothing had changed.

There's a sequel coming out. I had already read about it in GameInformer, but this was one of those games with an ending that, rather than wrapping it up, just sets up a sequel (actually, aside from the "Here comes a sequel!" scene, it was fairly decent for an ending). I'll probably check into it... after a price drop to $20.

It's time for revenge...
