I finished chapters 9 and 10 of Kessen III tonight. Again, there are 13 total, so I'm approaching the end.

Chapter 9 continued the familiar setup of minor battles, story battles, followed by a major battle. The trend of increasing difficulty continued, but there were no drastic challenges for me to overcome. Nobunaga's level is very high and the only way I can really lose with him is if I'm attacked by more than 2 groups of enemies at a time, or if there's just so many battles during a level that it's hard to keep his troop number up.

Chapter 10 was a little different. It consisted of only 2 major battles, nothing else. You couldn't even access the menu to buy new equipment and such. In one battle, you were supposed to stop these two messengers, avoid scouts, and attack the enemy. But I messed it up, and by the time I got to the end, I was being attacked on all sides. The battle was technically unwinnable, but since the only objective was to defeat one group, I attacked them with everything I had left and ignored the others. I won, but it was extremely close.

Chapter 11 seems to be returning to the usual pattern again.

If I can reach Chapter 13 tomorrow, and who knows what'll happen, I might force myself to put the extra time in to beat the game.
