Hmm.

Well, anyway, I more or less stuck with my goal of playing the game for about an hour. I didn't get too much accomplished in that time. I went through all my equipment, and tried to give characters the best that I had, and sell stuff that would be useless.

After that, I just mapped a little more of C-2. I just need to map a few scattered squares in the middle, and an area on the west.

The middle of C2 has several pits/ambushes, which first take your characters down to single digits in hit points, and then you're attacked by enemies. I had killed the enemies in two of those tonight, and was planning on just one more before I'd return to Sorpigal to save for the night.

Of course, that last party almost killed me. (If it had, I wouldn't have gained a single experience point all night.) They had the first turn, and killed off my knights right away. Then they just kept getting turn after turn after turn (one concern - not yet really a complaint, but something I'll be thinking about as I play through the game - I have is that often I get game overs when I didn't even get a turn, and hence a chance to do anything.) When they killed off my wizard, I knew I had no chance to possibly kill the party. My only hope was running if I ever got a turn. I finally did get a turn with my one remaining character, that's exactly what I did, and I made it back to Sorpigal. When I checked that character's health, I found she had exactly 1 hp left. Whew.
