Got a little farther and beat a giant centipede boss that grabbed Rebecca and held onto her until I killed it with Billy.

I wonder if I really am going to be able to finish this game on my first attempt? I guess it depends on how many healing items the mansion has.

I'm kind of stuck on a puzzle. There's a statue of judgment with a balancing scale in the main foyer with a message saying Good and Evil have to weigh equally to open a new passage. Well, I found a black statue and a white statue, but the black one weighs slightly more than the white one because it has a wing and the white one doesn't. I don't know whether I'm supposed to somehow break the wing off the black statue or find a wing for the white statue.

I did find a facility key, so once I figure out where to use that, maybe that'll lead to some answers.

The graphics for this game are okay enough, but the colors look a little dull and washed. The mansion is nowhere near as spooky and interesting as the one in Eternal Darkness.

The mansion in Eternal Darkness was one of the few cases in which "lightning effects" in a game actually did impress me. The way that mansion was lit was what really brought out the atmosphere. The lighting was done artfully, not like in Blinx's sand caves where lighting was used everywhere to such an extreme extent it was headache-inducing. RE0 has lots of little intricate details in its prerendered backgrounds, but it just feels like something's missing...
