I've been given what seems like the slowest computer ever.
Its a 1.6 ghz P4, running Windows XP. It's only got 128MB of RAM though

Heh, my first Windows computer ran at 66 Mhz (technically, my HP graphing calculator is faster), and shipped with 4 MB of RAM (I later upgraded it).

Anyway, I made it to the boss of stage 10 of Ninja Gaiden X. I wanted to go to bed before that, so I hoped either the stage would end without a boss, or there'd be a save point before the boss. Neither happened, and I got a game over on the boss, so I'm done for the night.

Geez, what a long stage.

I haven't noticed any nonmonotonicity with the difficulty curve. This current stage is the hardest so far, imo. The normal enemies in this stage (the demons with the glowing blue crystals for heads, long claws, and holes in their bodies) aren't particular difficult, but when you add the stage's "puzzles" and the worm minibosses, I still think it could be the hardest. In particular, I did think the worms were harder than Alma. Just my humble opinion.

I was stuck for a while on the final room. You can tell where you need to go, but it doesn't seem like a wall run will take you there. On one side of the room, it seems like you will fall while wall running for no reason. On the other, there clearly is a piece of wall sticking out from the main wall, which will block your progress. I originally had two hypothesis. First, that it might be necessary for Ryu to somehow jump past that outcropping and begin his wall run past it. Or, he could then jump to the outcropping and wall jump off it, but to what I didn't know. Perhaps something could be moved.

I noticed the tree limb quite some time before I used it. It looked like it was too far to reach. I finally tried a leap of faith on the other side of the room the platform I wanted to reach. I didn't make it, but I came closer than I thought I would. So, I tried it on the other side, and made it to the limb.

(Yes, that sequence reminded me of FacilityPro's comments about not even knowing if what your'e trying will ever work)
