I beat the Green Devil.

I actually learned a little more about the ice sloth/worm creature's pattern during the rematch. However, I still think it's lame that at times it just can't be damaged by your attacks, and there's no reason for it. It's not like it's blocking, and it's not like some parts of it are vulnerable but not others. If you attack the back of the boss it usually won't take damage. But if you attack it right after it attacked, it will. It just seems like a dumb, lazy way of forcing you to use counterattacks, without the designers thinking of a way to a) indicate to players that that's what they have to do b) justify it as though the game took place in anything resembling reality.

I beat the Devil just by attacking it aggressively.

The next boss (which I haven't completely beaten yet) strikes me as a rip off of the final boss of DMC.

I'm probably done for the night.

My left thumb is a bit sore at the joint. I wonder if it's because it's not used to playing games much lately, or because of something about NGX in particular or (most likely) it's an issue with the Xbox controller.
