Something I was suddenly reminded of.

Remember when FP said to never tell Ninja Gaiden fanboys that there's a harder game in existence, or else they'll throw the Hurricane Pack at you (whatever the Hurricane Pack is)? At first I thought he was exaggerating. Then about a week ago this happened.

Quote:
Though from what I've heard, Shinobi is way harder than Ninja Gaiden (that and Hiruko, the final boss, beats the pants off Alma).

And I would buy into the fact that Shinobi might be harder than Ninja Gaiden if not for the fact that I have played the Hurricane Pack, which is like the bundled wrath of a vengeful God. Hurricane Pack 2 I haven't touched but once, and it is harder. Ninja Gaiden Black has modes that are harder still. If I ever beat those, I doubt that I will ever admit defeat in an argument touting Ninja Gaiden as the hardest legitimately challenging game in the history of videogaming.
By the way, this is the guy who said Dawn of Sorrow was going to beat the shit out of Symphony of the Night.

As for my actual gaming, in a desperate attempt to get some video gaming in my blood, I tried that stupid Garfield game. About five times, and the vacuum still stopped working each time, and twice the game actually crashed. There's also a number of other bugs in that area. One windup is halfway lodged in a box, another one is standing still (bumping into them gets the former out of the box, and the latter to start moving), and the toys in the cabinet tend to be missing pieces.

This game sucks. Though I have to admit the music to the basement is kind of catchy. Not at all a Mozart of gaming music, but it is kind of catchy. Strange, because Garfield: Caught in the Act was a pretty average game, but the Special Edition for PC has a good soundtrack. And 3D Lemmings is an awful game, yet it has an excellent soundtrack.
