I've mostly been using Nightmare, since the character is interesting, and his moves are more designed for beginners, I believe. I've also used Spawn frequently. Seems every character has an alternate costume, and there are some major differences in apperance sometimes, which is good.

I've never played the original SC, actually. Weapon Master has gotten a little better lately, though. Maybe I've just adjusted to it, I don't know. I'm not sure how much I still have to go... the average fight now has a difficulty ranking of 3 or 4 out of 5. But they've still not been that challenging, especially considering that I don't have that much experience with the game yet.

There's some other stuff to unlock besides weapons, like a neat art gallery that I just got.

The dungeons are still annoying to me, but there aren't that many of those. The main battles during them are nothing out of the ordinary, and they seem to be against what you'd refer to as minor enemies in an RPG. Nameless, generic looking fighters more often than not, until you reach the boss, which is usually a playable character. Sometimes you have to fight more than 10 of these normal fighters to reach the end.
