That brings up a good point. Sometimes, it seems like game developers forget why they did something in the first place, and then just keep doing it over and over and over again. Even the thing about the characters yelling out when you talk to them: The only guy who did that in Ocarina of Time was the head carpenter, and he did that because he was a little crazy. But what's the point if everybody's doing it?
