I know I've been rather quiet on a lot of these marriage issues, but after suffering through my parents' divorce, I'm just not real sure what to think of the idea of marriage at all. It is something that's rooted in either religious beliefs or the idea of giving away a woman to a man as property, and at some point the government got their hands involved in it. As long as the government continues to play a role, then for obvious reasons, I agree with the Supreme Court decision to legalize gay marriage, but I wouldn't be against the idea of abolishing government involvement altogether.
Although my parents did not get divorced, that post describes exactly how I feel about marriage, too.

As for Kim Davis, some sources are claiming she was a Baptist before she converted. I'm not real sure what the difference is, though.
