I must have mentioned this before, but I got Chip n Dales volume 1 a while ago (probably back when we lived at the shoebox, I think).  I had a hard time getting through it, and in fact I never did finish it.  The animation was still pretty good for a TV show, but the stories were so juvenile.  They had morals like, "A pet is a big responsibility" and "Don't pretend to be sick if you're not."

I remember even when I was a kid, other kids would argue that Duck Tales was much better than Rescue Rangers, and I probably did like it more myself, but I'm a bit apprehensive about trying it after the Rescue Rangers experience.

Darkwing Duck even had some metahumor, and poked fun at superheroes way before it was fashionable (eg., with The Incredibles)

But I'm probably most interested in seeing the rest of Gargoyles.  I never watched it when it was first on.  The first episode I ever saw (I think on a VHS tape FO made) was Future Tense.  It was pretty dark for a cartoon.  Yeah, I don't think "darkness" is the be-all, end-all goal for art, but I was surprised they were able to get away with some of that.
