Well, there was the Donkey Kong 64 version. Well, it obviously wasn't an exact port; maybe it was recreated? It seemed like a reasonably accurate recreation.

But Nintendo still sells Donkey Kong arcade games, too! Now it comes with Mario Bros. (FO has even played this version)

It still might be a recreation rather than one that uses the same code.

But then again, it says the two companies did come to some agreement. Maybe Nintendo pays that other company royalties or made a one-time payment in exchange for the right to continue to make and sell the game.


I don't think there's a good reason for why Nintendo hasn't released Donkey Kong arcade for home. They've never released Super Mario Vs. for home, and I doubt that has the same legal problems. They just don't want to release them.
