The original reason it was put up there was because I noticed (and it was pointed out to me) that recent updates could get lost amongst the blog entries, but I don't rant as much on the front page as I used to, so that problem isn't as profound as it used to be. 2. The RSS feed negates the purpose of it and makes it redundant anyway. Even if I did start making long blog entries again, you could just look at the RSS feed to find the most recently-update pages without all the in-between filler. 3. Most of the times, it's the same few things getting updated over and over again anyway (like Q&A, Music Downloads, and the RAU Gallery). 4. I have a really bad habit of forgetting to update it. So ... the problem is that when I remove it, it leaves a big ugly blank space. I need to put something there, but I don't know what... Does anyone have any suggestions? Something like links to the main sections of the site. Your side bar is, imo, getting large and confusing and making it difficult to find sections quickly. You wouldn't even have to change much, necessarily. I always use the top link to get to the RAU Gallery now, because it's just easier to find and get to. The only thing that changes is the justification: You used to have it there because it updated. Now you can have it there because it's a main section of the site.

What the hell would you consider to be "the main sections" if not the stuff in the sidebar??? So, basically you're asking me to mimic the sidebar, but only put certain sections up there? WTF?? Be a little more creative, please. I could reduce the number of sections in the sidebar, but the main reason I put things like SAB and the ending songs and other stuff back on it is because when I relegated them to the museum and the Rec Room, I got emails every single day asking me where those sections were. Edit - If you want to help me reduce the amount of stuff in the sidebar by combining sections, you could at LEAST help me!! Don't just sit there and say, "Do what you wanna do!" And I could use quotes from the forums, but it would take awhile to scour them looking for good ones. I'll keep it in mind, though. I'd like to see some other ideas first, though... If anyone has anything to suggest that they think would be neat to use on the site, feel free to do so. I had also consider monthly polls, but knowing myself, I'd probably go a few months and then run out of ideas for the poll. It uses the RSS feed from this Yuku board. That's what that little orange square next to the orange square with the "e" on it is for. It's too bad we didn't have something like that back during the "Great Ezboard Fad", because you can actually add as many RSS feeds to it as you want. Something like that on a webpage with an RSS feed that would show when new topics were created on everyone's boards would've made it easier to check up on them.
