It might be the a smiliar deal to MST3K's Crow. When he's against a light background I keep "picturing" him facing me instead of the screen (this is when he's moving, I just posted the picture to give an example of the situation I mean). If he's against a darker background, I can "picture" him facing the screen. I thought this was just me, but the MST3K Amazing Colossal Episode Guide even addresses this.

It looked to me like it was going counter-clockwise, and then all of a sudden it paused slightly, then pivoted the other way and started going clockwise. If you see it spinning clockwise, it looks like the foot is pointing towards the ground. The nature of the silhouette makes it easy to see the foot either way and that's what determines the way it spins to your eyes. Also, if I close one eye and stare at it long enough, it doesn't look like it's rotating at all anymore - just going back and forth. After a little experimentation, I can get her to rotate whichever way I want, by focusing on her foot and rotating my finger in the right direction.

Really, the options are pretty stupid anyway. Why does it assume that the reason the game cost you a relationship was because you played it too much? Maybe the other person played too much. Maybe it was a cost issue. Maybe the other person dumped you when they found out you were some creepy game playing type person. Maybe you liked Super Mario Bros. and they liked Super Mario Galaxy and the differences couldn't be reconciled.
