But on Henry VIII and the turkey leg...One possibility is that
Henry VIII is often depicted with something in his hand in paintings.
The most famous one looks like he has a rolled up handkerchief or cloth
of some kind. Others show him with a sword. It's possible people mistook
this for a turkey or chicken leg when they were young.
