But before I was writing the RAU Gallery, I'm not exaggerating when I say that I used to see stupidity in my inbox and site tracker on almost a daily basis. Now I rarely get anything worth mentioning. Another thing the RAU Gallery seems to have cut down on are people begging me to go to their message board. While a lot of that ended when the ezboard fad ended, I would still sometimes get emails from people asking me to go to their forum or some other forum they go to. Now it's pretty much just NESforums that bugs me every now and then and I have no idea why since the last few times I was there (and that "A Farewell to Forums" sketch) pretty much indicated that I didn't get along with anyone there. |

6 years later and everything I said in this post still
stands. The only regrets I have about the Game Pond now are that I ever considered any of those people I spoke of in that post to be "friends" at
all. Though I still check here from time to time, that is the main reason I no longer use the internet for anything other than paying bills, occasional
shopping, checking news and email - I never want to fall in with a crowd like that ever again.
And as much as some people act like it's extraordinarily taboo to say such a thing, they have to grow up and face facts, because it's true. Honesty is always the best policy. |
