As long as they aren't cursed, I fail to see any problems. Well... maaaaaybe in about 8 hours, there might be a problem...

Even if they weren't cursed or caused him digestion problems, if anyone else from the archeology department saw him do it, I imagine they wouldn't be
happy. Would Nucleo feel bad about destroying what could potentially be priceless artifacts ones that would really shed light on the past?
