One thing I never liked about that show was that the conflicts often seemed forced. First, the writers would have to contrive a way to have Timmy's wishes
fuck up, and then they'd need to contrive a reason why they can't just undo the wish immediately. Sometimes, they wouldn't even give a reason why
he can't just unwish the wish, like one episode where he wished for several clones of his dad so that he could spend more time with him, but instead of
just unwishing it, he spends the entire episode coming up with the idea to send them to another planet. Where the heck did the planet come from? Why
couldn't he just wish them gone? The show often relies on "idiot plots."
Another thing is that the show often repeats the same 2 or 3 jokes verbatim over and over throughout the course of an episode. If these jokes were ever funny in the first place, the repetition destroys whatever value they may have had. I say: a good joke doesn't need to be repeated, and repeating a bad joke doesn't make it any funnier.
The episodes with Crimson Chin, and to a lesser extent, Catman, are probably better thanks mostly to the guest voices. Jay Leno and Adam West, respectively.
