I've just concluded the first trip to Zozo in FF6. Having a really good time playing this again.
I was reminded that the GBA translation does have a good line making fun of the lame fan retranslation: I hear that some fanatical members of the Cult of Kefka insist on spelling Kefka's name with Cs instead of Ks. That just seems silly to me. Kefka's Kefka. He's still the same villain, no matter how you spell his name.

Made some Richter progress in SoTN. Beat the Lesser Demon, that crow guy, Olrox, and maybe another boss, can't remember. I had difficulty with
Olrox until I accidentally killed him by standing too close while using the axe item crush, dealing a ton of damage in an instant and killing him in no time.
I've been tried my best to avoid the cheap attacks like the Hydro Storm, but I'm a glutton for power.

Finished the Opera House in FF6. I'm glad I started this, having a fantastic time.
I like that they made it harder to miss certain things. Like you used to only be able to get one of Mog's dances in the WoB, but now you have one opportunity in the WoR, too. And a lot of the missable enemies can be found in one of the end game bonus areas, so it's harder to miss out on a rage or lore.

I beat Brock, but only barely. Whose bright idea was it to make Pikachu the starter in this version? He can't even do any damage to Brock's rock and
ground types, and most of the rest of the Pokemon you can catch at that point are either normal or flying (or both) and do 1/2 damage to rock/ground types, or
weak bugs.

What I always did was catch a Nidoran (Female personally, but it doesn't really matter which you choose) in that patch of grass just off Viridian leading
to Victory Road (Gary challenges you there as you head off to Victory Road). At Lv. 12 they learn Double Kick, a Fighting Move, which is Super Effective
against Rock.
I guess I've gotten behind on my Super Paper Mario progress. I just finished that business with finding fruit for Peach, which I guess I didn't find as painful as Seabu did. Maybe I was just mentally prepared for it. |

I actually remember that game pretty fondly now. If I actually replayed it, I might start getting annoyed all over again, though.

SoulCalibur Legends - Got the final weapons!
Lloyd's weapon is the Angel's Tear. Imagine a Double Helix sword like Link from Majora's Mask, only going up from the hilt only a quarter of the way (and looking like a normal sword otherwise) and pure white. Lloyd attacks significantly faster with a soul charge. I'm guessing this is a Symphonia weapon. GameFAQs confirms it. As predicted, Seigfried's final weapon is the Soul Calibur, only it looks closer to a Super Metroid enemy than what he had in SoulCalibur 2. At any rate, I fought in a stage against Seigfried's "shadow" wielding Soul Edge, so I had a significantly epic moment in the game where the two swords dueled. I even got an S in it. And I think I'm done with this game for a while. I'm at "Legendary Hero" rank, the highest, and the only thing I have yet to do is get everything up to an "S" rank. I don't think there's any award for it, but GameFAQs info on this game is sparse at best. I don't even know how to increase my score beyond making huge combos (and in some stages that proves difficult). |

Beat 5 stories in the GRINGO AMERICANO VERSION of Dissidia Final Fantasy and I have unlocked GARLAND, Exdeath, Golbez, Kuja, Sephiroth, and Hojo Ujiyasu. The
rest of the villians...I'm in no rush to unlock. Except maybe Emperor Mateus maybe, because his new Air Flare is so fucking annoying when the CPU uses it
that he may be a viable character now. The new arcade mode is pointless so far. Chaos is voiced by Keith David which is awesome. I love several of the changes
made to this game. CPU Exdeath's AI is pretty slick now, and his melee seems usable from the CPU using it now, not to mention the teleport move was fixed
in every way (no more tree grinding for USA lol) from how his new AI fights. The changes to Squall make him not-shit. I'm saddened by Terra's Tornado
having less suction power, but that's only because I whored it out before in the Japanese version. The way faster everything else makes up for that though.
OH. After buying the game I promptly switched my case's art cover from good guys to bad guys, too. Ues. You can do that. You can change the box art. O__o Oh, no videos yet.

Rune Factory - I got Sharron to the top rank of love and friendship, gathered enough wood to expand my house finally (needed to get bigger things, do my own
crafting work, and to marry), and am to the last day of the summer. I never did see any of the girls in a bikini, and I note that only because the rest of the
people in this strange town were obsessed with it.
I'm getting my fishing pole its final upgrade, and then all I'll need is the better watering can (which I refuse to live without until Winter comes). Lara is coming along love-wise, but I don't know if she'll get to the top level in time. I still have to buy the double bed, and by that point I will have made some progress. |

FF6- the floating continent has risen! I'm trying to boost stats with Espers when I remember... I usually don't even bother, but it's fun turning
the already powerful characters into killing machines, and it should help with the optional bosses in this version.

I got through Mt. Moon on Pokemon Yellow. I like to give my Pokemon stupid nicknames. My Pikachu, for example, is named "Pickles." I tried to name
Blue/Gary "Jackass" but my finger slipped and now he's name "JACKKAS." Close enough.
Classes started back up for me, so replaying this game plus the boredom of school have inspired me to create my own Pokemon. I have a notebook that already has several pages filled with doodles and sketches. I know it's pretty dorky, but I think I have a knack for it. I'm even able to imitate the Pokemon art style pretty well (not that it's a very hard style to replicate...) They could call it "Pokemon: Grey Version." |

There's a bug in Pokemon Yellow that changes the first letter of your rival's name to Z some point in the game. When I played it I was
"LUIGI" and my rival was "MARIO" but by the end it somehow changed to "ZARIO". So, expect his name to be "ZACKKAS" at
the end.
Since I don't feel I read enough, I started His Majesty's Dragon late yesteday afternoon and am at page 99 out of about 350. It's decent so far, although I hear the other Temeraire books are crap. |

Also, getting the boomerang is optional, but without revealing too much, it certainly makes some things much easier... and it is only one more step after the main trading game process (though I'd have to wonder why a strategy guide made it sound like getting it was absolutely necessary... I don't think the official NP guide does.) |

So, expect his name to be "ZACKKAS" at the end. There was a specific version of the Missingno glitch that could cause your player's name to be overwritten with a single letter "Z", but I don't remember the details of it now. I remember someone complaining that it happened to them many years ago. Something about those games and the letter "Z", I guess... |

I started Banjo-Tooie, but I'm not entirely sure I'm going to stick with it. Something about it just feels so sluggish compared Banjo-Kazooie, but
maybe it was just because the intro took forever. And Bottles' general brother annoys the hell out of me. I was also getting sick to my stomach playing it,
though I don't know if that was coincidence or the camera making me motion sick. Anyway, I think I got seven Jiggies in the first area, and just finished
some no-doubt Goldeneye-inspired FPS section.
