The USB controller makes Menace about 10x as playable. Unfortunately, it's still a boring, uninspired shooter and doesn't look half as good as Agony. Also, it seems like the same song plays for the entire game.
I watched somebody play Shadow of the Beast on YouTube a while back, and it looked like one of the most boring games ever, except for the part where your goatman straps on a jetpack and flies through an underground corridor, which was totally out of place in a game that moody. Well, when you actually play it you find it's more irritating than boring. But it IS pretty. I'd like to think the people behind it had their hearts in the right places, but their brains were somewhere off on the dark side of Pluto.
Holy cow there's a lot of Dizzy games for the Amiga. Fantastic Dizzy, Fantastic Dizzy 2, Spellbound Dizzy, Magicland Dizzy, Crystal Kingdom Dizzy, the list goes on. I tried out Bubble Dizzy and Fantasy World Dizzy, and they're actually kind of interesting.
