I watched Elementary My Dear Winston and If I Were a Witch Man. Elementary was okay as far as post Season 1 goes, but Witch Man was just creepy, with the town of people wearing Egon masks and that scene with Peter and Egon dressing up like school girls and giving each other makeup tips. I'm going to skip Partners in Slime because I already watched that on Ghostbusters 2 and I really don't feel like sitting through it again

And because I'm insane, petty, and OCD, I restarted Banjo-Kazooie so I can take on Grunty without the double-health upgrade, and I've already cleared out Mumbo's Mountain, Treasure Trove Cove, Clanker's Cavern, and Bubblegloop Swamp.

Real Ghostbusters:

Future Tense was forgettable.

Jailbusters made me crack a smile when the judge announced "I now declare you husband and wife!" but the rest was just blah.

Live From Al Capone's Tomb was amusing. Not great, but not offensive.

Halloween Door was decent, and I also watched the commentary. JMS says the whole episode was intended as a middle finger at the network censors.

I also watched the first of the two 15-minute episodes, with the Slimer clone and vacationing ghosts, and mamma mia, those were bad!

I also cleared out Freezeezy Park and Gobi's Valley in Banjo-Kazooie.

Yeah, I recognized the judge as Shredder.

Surely You Joust was embarassing. The story starts out a ripoff of that one Season Two episode where Slimer brings the fairy tale book to life with one of Egon's machines, then it descends into complete nonsense. I think this would have been forgettable were it not for the scenes with Winston saying "I could get used to a place like this" while a unicorn goes flying by and those muscly knights bathing together and splashing each other.

Kitty-Cornered was decent, I would have liked to have seen it as a full episode.

Slimer's Curse and Til Death Do Us Part were forgettable. On a side note, the episode guide that comes with the collection mixes up the images for Transendental Tourists and Slimer's Curse.

It's About Time was a bunch of ass-pulling.

Ransom of Green Spud was annoying and nonsensical.

Venk-Man! was creepy, like somebody was using the episode to satisfy a fetish of theirs.

As FO said before, Loose Screws is just a watered down, contrived remake of Lost and Foundry.

Janine, You've Changed was great, though it may be in part understanding the commentary behind it.

EDIT: I forgot two. Revenge of the Ghostmaster and that one with the joker ghost on the train. Both were just there, but the train one might have been okay had it been allowed to go on for a full episode.

Russian About - Not bad. The police officer house arresting the Ghostbusters just because that one scientist said was a bit contrived, though. And to nerd out: the Ghostbusters were suggesting the cultists were trying to revive Cthulhu again (they never said "Cthulhu" but they kept talking about a Great Old One they fight before and almost destroyed the world), but what came out of the hole looked more like Shub-Niggurath.

Haunting of Heck House - Pretty good, actually.

You Can't Teach an Old Demon New Tricks - The first half seemed to be going somewhere, but the second half takes a steady decline down to an ending that crashes and burns.

Mean Green Teen Machine - This wasn't so much a parody of Ninja Turtles as it was a strawman attack on it. And with "strawman attack" comes "eye-twitching irritation." This episode felt like it went on forever, too.

Spacebusters - I think seeing FO chew out certain really bad episodes prepares me better for episodes like this (but I still wasn't prepared for Egon's half-exposed ass), so I don't end up hating them as much as she did. Still bad, though.

Guess What's Coming To Dinner - This didn't make one lick of sense. In the beginning it seemed like the ghosts were going inhabit the house, the Ghostbusters would come back and everything would be normal, but before long the ghosts would start to joke with them and the Ghostbusters would have to deal with it. But no, the ghosts try to move in like a regular family, throw away all the GB's stuff, and the rest of the episode was like them doing whatever zany shit they could as if to say "NYA NYA, WE FOOLED YOU, WE FOOLED YOU". Why would ghosts want to move into a house like a regular family? I could maybe understand if they didn't realize they were ghosts, but these ones were fully aware of what they were. At least they were more subtle with the Simpsons in-joke than the Ninja Turtles one (i.e. the Homer ghost never tries to strangle the Bart ghost).
