I burned Sapphire and Renny Blaster (some Japanese game that fetches about $300). Sapphire needs to be played on Magic Engine. Renny Blaster worked on the
TurboGrafx... and funnily enough, so did one of those Beyond Shadowgates I thought was a dud.
Still can't get Super Air Zonk to run on it - it gives me the system card error message if I try to run it with the regular card, but it just hangs when I use the Super card - but I guess I can save that one for Magic Engine too.

I try DopeRoms first. Sometimes Doperoms doesn't have it (Fausette Amour, Renny Blaster) or it
doesn't work (Super Air Zonk, Image Fight II, Rondo of Blood), so then I try ROMhustler which is where
I got the working Image Fight II and Rondo of Blood roms, but the ads and their tendency to break TG-CD games into multiple downloads can get annoying. If that
still doesn't work, I do a Google search and usually get it from some place called "SnesOrama" where the community make posts on a message board
with the ROMs uploaded to MegaUpload:
SnesOrama Beyond Shadowgate SnesOrama Renny Blaster I don't know if that's where I got the Shadowgate that actually worked on my TurboGrafx (I downloaded it from four or five difference places), but that is where I got the working Renny Blaster.

Ah, man. I was planning to get a domed litterbox this week, but then I got laid off again so I have to conserve money. The reason I want a domed one is because
Pepper sometimes misses when she pees and gets it all over the floor. That, and they kick a lot of litter out onto the floor. The downstairs bathroom at the
new house isn't big enough to put a litterbox into it (it's also in a weird spot that I can imagine Pepper having trouble getting into at night), so
we'll need to put a litterbox somewhere else. I think the sunroom is the best place, but we'd probably want a domed box to put in there so that
you're not looking at cat litter and waste if you want to eat or do anything else in there.

I ordered the Wii punchout from Amazon a few days before it was released. It should be here soon.

I seriously doubt that that game will be that good. I'm certainly not having faith in it just because it's a Punch-Out!! game.

What I hear is that it's pretty hard, but that if you lose 100 times, you get an item that makes it easier. And there's a practice mode that lets you
fight any opponent without taking damage and where they flash more obviously before attacking. Maybe if you avoid those things, it'll be okay. I'm not
ready to spend 50 bucks right now after having been burned by so many bad games lately.

Considering I still haven't opened my Wii yet, I probably won't be able to share my impressions.

We bought a couple of cheap PC game controllers (shaped kind of like Playstation controllers, only without the analog sticks), so that James and I can join the
wonderful world of romwhoring. There's really no place to get used older games around here anymore and it's too expensive to buy online. He have a
satisfactory physical collection, but there's still a lot we don't have that I'd like to try in my lifetime.

I ordered incense from a company called Shoyeido.
They have a very well constructed web site. it's really good so far. I just started lighting it--I'll post which ones I consider to be worth trying. +not recommended for use around felines:) Naked- 100% juice smoothie (from Krogers) $2.50 for 15.2 oz -these are even better if you're hungry. The flavor I like the most is Black & Blueberry Rush. -had it for the first time earlier this week--This stuff is good. $2.50 a bottle is the cheapest I've found them--I've only tried a couple of different kinds---each bottle claims to have a certain amount of fruit in the bottle... For example-Black & Blueberry Rush claims to have 30 blueberries,3½ apples,8 blackberries, and ½ of a banana. Red Bull Cola-hard to find still I tried this a couple of weeks ago. It's overpriced(around a $1.50 for 12oz.),and the flavor plays on acquired tastes. The company claims that all the ingredients are all natural (the can lists all of them--unlike the "natural flavors" in other listings) and no preservatives are included. The taste? It's good...and it's hard to describe. It could be compared to the taste of R.C. Cola.-more than Pepsi or Coca-Cola It reminds me a little of coffee in the finish and it has a different citrus(?) note throughout the taste. It supposedly has a good deal of caffeine but the can doesn't specify how much. Anyone who spends $1.80 on a large cup of ice with some pop in it at any popular food chain can afford trying this. |

I got myself The Office Season 3 and Electric Ladyland.
I watched a few episodes of season 3 with FO so far. Based on them, and what I've seen of season 5, I think this show might follow the pattern that a lot of shows do. That first Michael Scott is just a "bad boss", but as the show goes on, he becomes more and more ridiculous (sort of like what happened with Homer Simpson). Like, in season 3, he just doesn't take a convention seriously. Then in season 5, he dresses up like Willy Wonka and gives out Golden Tickets. Andy seems much more mean in season 3 than 5, too. Missing the connecting episodes, it seems like a completely different character.

I also had to get another pair of headphones for my MP3 player. The connectors on those things wear out so easily. I think I've worn out two in the past
year.

We've mentioned it in a few other topics, but Crawl bought a Haier 2.7 cubic ft. miniature refrigerator. (The apartment's main refrigerator broke and
for various reasons, we can't call maintenance right now to fix it.)
While I wouldn't want it to be our only refrigerator forever, I really love the little thing. When we take it to the new place, we'll have extra storage space for drinks and food items. We'll never be without cold drinks again, and I can stock up on some extra food without worrying that there won't be enough room in our main fridge. It has a mini-freezer in the top part. It wasn't keeping frozen stuff frozen at first, but then I turned the cold dial up to 7 from 5 and that seemed to do the trick. Only thing is, now there's always a mysterious small chunk of ice on the very bottom shelf every time I open it. I had looked at some mini-fridges online and saw one that was bigger, but it had a crisper instead of a freezer. I think I can live without the crisper since I almost never used the one we had in the big fridge. |

Shoprite was having a Grand Opening sale, and they had PS2 systems for $69.99 and games for $1.99. As tough as things are financially, I couldn't pass that
by. I got Need for Speed Carbon, Final Fantasy 12 and Scarface for a total of 6 dollars. There really wasn't anything else there that I considered playable
or sellable.
