Played some of the mission modes in Ninja Gaiden. These seem a bit absurd at times, pitting you against a crapload of enemies at once, or a boss and 5 really fast peon monsters. I did beat a few so far, like Murai and his explody ninjas and CH3 Fat Guy with swat team and random explosions, and Masakado the Fire Samurai with a shitload of horsemen. I can almost beat the Racheal vs Doku one, but one of those Nightmare from soul calibur lookin doods with huge swords always shows when Doku has like 1/4 lifebar left and I get creamed then. THEN I went back and was able to beat that damn wall. TAKE THAT, WALL!! I am now on the moon. The Lunar Whale's theme is now officially my favorite piece of music from this game. I had some trouble in Jabu-Jabu's belly because there was this one little detail I completely forgot about and it had me going in circles for over an hour before I quit and played a few NES games instead. (I beat Legendary Wings for the first time this year.) Then I went back to Zelda and remembered what to do. I always find Gohma, the first boss, of Ocarina to be one of the most difficult in the game. It's not that it's even all that difficult of a fight, but you don't have that many hearts and may not be accustomed (or re-accustomed in my case) to the combat yet to take on an enemy like that. So, what I'm saying is that I think this game may have been better in my mind if the boss fights could have retained that level of intensity and gotten harder. Phantom Ganon is the hardest boss in the game (and I've got him coming up soon) and even he's not that bad, so I feel like once I'm past that part it's smooth sailing to the end.

"8 years later" and the twins have joined the party. The boy can use all the Zenithian equipment, so he's in good shape right from the start. I beat Mega Man 3 on the weekend. Replay, but I hadn't done it in years. I remembered this game being really hard and Mega Man 2 being really easy, but now I find it just as easy as MM2. I went through and completed the Temple of Lightning. It looks like Ratatoask Mode Emil refuses to return to whatever part of Emil's head he comes from. Marta's not liking his jerky attitude one bit. I also completed what I assume to be the last Richter Sub-Event at the Cape Fortress. You know, for a while I was wondering where I saw another case of one character having a more aggressive personality inside of him that comes out before and I just figured it out: It's from the anime series Samurai Deeper Kyo. Kyo even has red eyes when he takes over Kyoshiro. Unlike DotNW though, Kyo is out a lot more than Ratatosk-Mode Emil. "You ate the wall?? Are you insane?"-Trill, Baten Kaitos

Your consciousness! You fell in the woods!" The actual game is rather generic. It's a turn-based RPG with a slight strategy RPG element. Your characters move around a field to attack enemies, but it's mostly hammering Attack and healing when necessary. The two main characters are a hot-blooded swordsman who wants to find his lost sister and his mellow, blonde, spell-using childhood friend who I've actually grown somewhat attached to. About the most unique thing about it is you have this black kitty following you that you care for and it sometimes helps in combat and gives you items, except caring for it amounts to feeding it and either praising or scolding it. When it's happy it sometimes runs out in the field and boosts the party's defense, and when it's angry it drops a fucking meteor on the enemies.
