This is as good as the sketch itself. I'm gonna have to try to get more mileage out of this "Imaginary Webmaster Bryan" thing.

Donkey Kong 64?! That game deserves no shrine.

Neither does every single fucking Zelda game after Majora's Mask, but hey.

I've said before that people on the internet remind me a lot of my parents. This is typical of the type of thing that reminds me of them. Like Tyler said, it's obvious the person didn't even look at it, but even if it had been a typical "shrine", perhaps looking at it would've given you some insight as to why someone else felt it did deserve a shrine. But this guy assumes that just because he sees it as unworthy of a shrine, that it's automatically self-explanatory that everyone else should see it that way, too.

What this reminds me of is how my mother was with me about getting haircuts. Every couple of months, my mother would take me to the hairdresser to get my hair cut a very particular way. Eventually, when I was able to drive, she'd just hand me a $20 when "that day" would come and tell me to go get a haircut. I was pretty much passive about this so long as she was paying for it. But eventually, after I got my own job, I would just wake up one Saturday morning and she'd walk into my house and demand I go get a haircut, but since I'm working now, I have to pay for it myself (and she'd even tell me exactly what to tip them, too... are you even supposed to tip a hairdresser? I don't know...)

This, needless to say, got me pretty ired. But if I tried arguing with her or refusing, she'd start screaming and throw temper tantrums. One time she tried to connect me not getting a haircut with her being unable to make payments on her car. She thought that if my hair grew too long or something or if my birthmark became visible, I'd lose my job and wouldn't be able to give her the rent, which she was using to pay for the car.

But then after I moved to Ohio, I finally decided to allow my bangs to grow out, which I had never done before in my entire life. She called me when "that day" arrived again and told me to make sure I go get a haircut. I told her I wasn't going to, I'm gonna let it grow out. Long pause and suddenly, "It's very important.... to look nice." I said, "This conversation is over," and hung up. I was fuming. (I think I even posted about that here after it happened.)

Now what was my mother's idea of "looking nice"? This. That's how my mother made me wear my hair for over 20 years. Nothing could convince her that a different look might possibly be better. To her, that was it and it was all in black and white. Much like how Donkey Kong 64 doesn't deserve a shrine and that's it and there's no arguing about it.

It's just hilarious to me because you know most of these kids on the internet are teenagers who are usually convinced that they're so rebellious against their parents, yet they don't realize how much they act exactly like them.
