Here's what inspired me to make this topic.

A few days ago I was at a forum where someone mentioned Blue Oyster Cult. The topic had no replies yet, but I predicted it would fill up with posts about the "More Cowbell" sketch and pictures of Christopher Walken. That's exactly what happened.

At another board, someone started a poll about who is the best martial arts actor. Before I even looked at any of the replies, I predicted they'd be a bunch of Chuck Norris jokes. That's exactly what they were.

I told Crawl about this and said, "Isn't it funny how the internet ruins certain topics of conversation?"

He replied, "That's never happened at your board!"

I replied, "I didn't say MY BOARD. Nowhere did I say 'my board'."

He replied, "But your board is part of the internet."

I replied, "When I talk about 'the internet', I'm not usually including my board. In fact, I think I'll make a post saying we seceded from the internet."
